This event led to the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
