Iran is willing to resume atomic talks with Washington provided that it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi said solely negotiations produced results, and disclosed recent overtures had come from mediators to restart talks with the American leadership. He claimed Iran possessed no undeclared nuclear sites, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to authorize the global atomic watchdog to visit bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Challenging Course

The foreign minister is navigating a complex route since Iran wishes not to be perceived to be proceeding from a stance of vulnerability, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen more resilient defensively and emotionally from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.

He was talking at a security conference in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an inalienable right to process nuclear material domestically that it will never give up" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the earlier negotiations.

Earlier Discussions Abruptly Concluded

The prior phases of talks between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, struck Iran's enrichment centers in a 12-day war that culminated with the US president asserting the locations had been eliminated. Subsequently, European countries used their authority to restore global restrictions, but Iran insists they have not had a substantial consequence.

Magic Solution Proposed

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "perfect agreement" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with US participation could refine atomic fuel. Each party would have been able to assert triumph since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's atomic project was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been settled in the discussions that Washington's technical specialists could work on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Representatives stated three times they had reached agreement with Washington's diplomat the US official only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Present Situation

Tehran representatives declared the partnership proposal was now no longer available, but it seems very probable the proposal could be revived in certain ways if negotiations restart.

The US president last week stated he had been receiving messages that Iran sought to reopen negotiations, but privately Iranian officials say they are not yet getting coherent offers from Washington either straightforwardly or from important Middle Eastern intermediaries, such as Qatar, Egypt, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been charged of non-responsiveness in the wake of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Tehran states dialogue is not part of a show.

Diplomatic Stance

In his speech to the conference, aimed to paint the US as a controlling nation that abuses the idea of worldwide standards, the foreign minister declared the 12-day war revealed the dispute could not be settled by armed force. He said the assaults commenced with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an unconditional call for a truce.

Iran is assured the initial Israeli attacks were mounted with complete American awareness and coordination, making faith challenging to reestablish.

Negotiations Continues the Ultimate Resolution

The foreign minister stated: "Tehran was not the one that had abandoned negotiations; it was the United States and the western countries that had consistently attempted to impose their desires during the discussions. Dialogue can still be alive and continues the final solution to address disputes, but its requirements, regulations and fundamentals must be adhered to."

"If they talk to the nation of Iran with the language of dignity and respect, they will receive a reply in the identical tone."

Repair and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the conflict of recovery and rebuilding, Araghchi stated he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We acquired multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the enemy."

He added: "We successfully passed this conflict. Our atomic expertise, which they planned to eliminate, remains in place. The installations and machinery, if eliminated, will be rebuilt; what is important is the will of the nation of Iran and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but did not succeed to break. The nation of Iran have grown more resilient, more integrated, and more endorsing of the administration and the state in the wake of this invasion."
